This bird is REALLY EFFING SCARY.

Anyone know what it is? A friend who just returned from Switzerland had it in his FB album... apparently it was in a zoo in Zurich.Yah, so ummmm. On a scale of one to "would not want to meet in a dark alley, or for that matter anywhere ever" this is a ten and a half.

LOL. I think it looks rather amazing. But yea, I agree with you on the "would not want to meet in a dark alley" thing. What a beak!!

I just died laughing. *LOL*

Even the bird's stare is menacing. Meh.

Catherine: Oh, I totally agree! It's an incredible bird, but holy mother of god. Now that is a bird with which to scare small children.

gingerbee: Haha!! I know!! It's like, 98% frightening and 2% hilarity =P

it's one of the zoo's prized posessions- an African shoebill stork. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shoebill)

What in the hell is that?! Creepy. The eyes of satan are staring back. Ew!

Laura: LOL, I love that you know what it is!!!

besswess: aww, come on -- they're not the eyes of Satan! More like the eye of a yellow-eyed demon.

Aaand I will pretend that everyone here watches Supernatural and thus understands why that is funny =P

It doesn't even look real! It looks like an evil muppet!

Oh and now I am going to blog about this bird. I'll be sure to link back to you!

Mermanda: I KNOW!! (Very well said, by the way. Evil muppet = awesome.)

And feel free!! It wasn't even my bird to begin with, but rather a bird that a friend saw in a zoo =P If we swing this the right way, half of North America will see this bird by noon tomorrow.

Now go have fun trying to make this viral =P (Hint: it is not do-able. Because, well, it's a bird.)
